Third Dimension Technologies early recognized the need of organizations to make these data available to everybody using GIS within the WEB-environment. Early adoption to this technology has gained the company a crucial competitive advantage. Traditionally, companies concentrate only on parts of the spectrum consisting of software, consulting, data and services. We have built the most comprehensive mapping database for Nigeria – ranging from our street mapping database to our demographic database, not only have we built these database, we have also created industry leading solutions from these mapping databases – our solution trademark is aptly named CEASER – which interprets to COMPLETE ENCODING AND SPATIALLY ENABLED ROUTINE – this is a complete suite of mapping and location based systems ranging from the web version – CEASER-WEB – to the mobile device version – CEASER-MOBILE and also the desktop version – CEASER-DESKTOP, all these combine as powerful applications and services providing much sophisticated solutions from navigation, interactive phone maps, web based location based services etc.

These solutions combines very sophisticated navigable attributes for the network of roads – ranging from one way roads, to road classes, road types, vehicle types, turn restrictions etc.

We have also built address database nationwide system for Nigeria – this allows for adequate geocoding of addresses - this is a project that is ongoing so as to cover the entire country Nigeria.

Our Organisation

The company came about as a result of the lingering desire to make geographic information part of the infrastructure for daily business, social, legal and economic decision making in the country Nigeria. Much had been said about geographic information but less use is made of it, it is often not available when needed. 3d technologies is poised to change this trend and will make quality geographic information available as and at when needed.

Our Strength

The company prides itself in the fact that it is wholly indigenous. Everything is fully owned and run by nationals of Nigeria. We belong to professional associations like, the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), the Nigerian Geo- information Society, the Geo- information Front amongst many others. Our outlook is not only local; we also have internationally recognized membership, including the British Association of Geographic Information (AGI).

We have our own systems, both Hardware and Software:

Hardware includes: 3 No A0 Plotters, 1 No A0 Scanner, 1 No A0 Digitizer, 1 No A0 Plan Copiers, GPS systems for GIS data collection.

Our quality criteria

At 3DT, we recognize that quality of our data is paramount in meeting the business deals of our client. Our datasets are cleaned and topologically corrected using ESRI ARCINFO. We do not compromise quality; we have a quality assurance procedure from data capture to data delivery that ensures that our data is satisfactory to our client. Hence, no dangling nodes, no gaps, no uncompromising features, no disjointed digitizing, attribute data are checked for errors before final delivery.

Our map products

We pride ourselves in the fact that, we have routable, topologically correct digital maps of over 100 major cities in Nigeria. We also have a complete road network map for Nigeria, a complete local government map of Nigeria, a gazetteer of place names and also a complete address database for the whole country is under completion. We supply our maps with a complete Land use of the city, a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is also an option if required.
